History
"If you're actually reading this, and the English language is still in use, or can be decoded easily through sonic understanding and some not so distant appreciation for The Word, then The Insect Sessions is complete to this point, and yet, still not a closed matter..."
- IS1
In the fall of 2004, Yachay embarked on their most ambitious project to date - The Insect Sessions (IS1). 4 discs each carrying 11 songs - 44 songs total. Not to mention a bonus 5th disc of spoken word, interview and other rarities. When it was all said and done, perhaps it was the Insect Sessions that had embarked on Yachay.
IS1 was a diverse collection of sonic output, or as Jeff put it, "...a collection of hymnals, gospel, funeral marches, dirges, marches, anthems and good 'ol rock'n'roll." IS1 also saw the launch of The Entrainment Suite, a progression of instrumentals that continues on to this day. Much has happened since the completion of IS1 - the release and subsequent college radio promotion of Sweet Mother Mercy, 2 new discs (Pentagon,Gospel), the Wildflower project, and much, much more.

Yachay plans their next move in the midst of a summer heatwave so intense that it has indoor candles melting and bending as if to prostrate themselves in front of the irrepressible god of light and measure.
The 1st cicada of the season begins to sputter, stops as if to pause for the passage of seasons, then roars with a fierceness that trembles the very tree in which it resides. Soon enough the choir of cicadae joins the gospel of sound in sweet harmony.
Night swiftly falls and through the cracks of silence comes the cricket's whisper to issue forth the decree. A hauntingly familiar command caresses the rather dense eardrums of Yachay.
It is understood and it is unbegun.
